The watch brand was founded in 1905 by the German businessman and technician Hans Wilsdorf. Wilsdorf invented a time mechanism  that constantly excited itself by the movement of the wrist. This timepiece, called perpetual, was seen as a revolution at the time. Previously, all watches had to be wound Replica Rolex Watch AAA by hand every 24 hours.

In 1908 Wilsdorf registered the name Rolex as an official brand. Today opinions still differ as to what Wilsdorf exactly meant by the name Rolex. Although Wilsdorf himself has always maintained that “rolex” is a meaningless name, there are many rumors that he would have derived the name from the French words horlogerie exquise.

The watch brand invented a 100% waterproof, dirt-resistant and shock-resistant watch case in 1926. This watch case was called the Oyster because it had the shape and properties of a closed oyster. Replica Rolex Watch AAA + Swiss Quality Many Rolex models still have this watch case. To prove that Rolex is really waterproof, as a publicity stunt, a swimmer was swept over the canal from England to France (1927), with a 100% waterproof Rolex watch on his wrist. In 1960 Rolex repeated the trick by attaching a watch to the outside of the bathyscaaf. The deep-sea vessel later plunged to the bottom of the Marianet trough. Even at a water depth of eleven kilometers, this specially developed Rolex was still waterproof.

During the Second World War the originally German / English factory Replica Rolex Watch settled permanently in Zwirzerland. There, the brand specialized in expensive watches that were reserved only for the richest people. The watches were often made of steel, gold, silver, or platinum. The dials were sometimes made of mother-of-pearl or inlaid with diamonds.

The brand also gained fame with revolutionary designs that were so successful that they were copied by many other manufacturers: in 1946 the Rolex Datejust was published, the first watch that also indicated the date. In 1950 the Rolex Submariner appeared, the first watch especially made for deep-sea divers and had a rotatable ring with minute indication. In the mid-60s came the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, a watch with a tachymeter. This allows the average Rolex Watch speed to be measured.

All these models are apparently timeless and fashion-insensitive, because they are all sold on a large scale today.
